It has been four years since I started Game Over. We were just a podcast at first. Recording each episode in my basement with a group of friends from high school. They were in it to help me out and have a good time, but eventually the novelty of recording a show every week wore off and it got harder and harder to keep it up. However, I wasn’t going to let the show just fade away. Since then, a lot has changed: I met Ryan and brought him aboard, we left the Vagary.tv network and re-branded as Game Over Nation, tried to find our identity as a news site, then changed gears to focus more on entertainment, and finally found a happy balance somewhere in-between.
We have tried all sorts of different things over the years. If you ask me, they were in an attempt to see what we were good at; to figure out what strikes a chord with people, and gets this giant boulder rolling, even just a bit. After the FACT is still in its early stages, but I know that it’s the kind of show I’ve always wanted to make. The amount of positive reception we’ve received has been phenomenal, and I can’t wait to bring you more.
I think what I’m trying to say is, thank you for sticking around through it all, and I will do my best to keep GoN moving forward!
