Last week the gang and I went to a live taping of WWE Monday Night RAW. When we arrived the arena was surrounded by excited fans waiting to be let inside. I’ve got to say, there was a positive buzz in the air and everyone was in good spirits. There was even a little old lady with a sign on her walker that read, “John Cena, you’re a great wrestler.” Come on, is there anything better than that?
I haven’t been keeping up with wrestling since the end of the attitude era in 2002, so I was worried I’d have trouble following what was going on and who to root for. Luckily that wasn’t the case at all. While I did see a few familiar faces such as HHH and Randy Orton, to my surprise the real treat was watching a new generation of talented superstars showing off what they bring to the table. The usual star of the show, John Cena was out with a broken nose from the week prior which allowed relative newcomer, Seth Rollins to step up to the plate and own most of the opening act with a very well delivered monologue. I was instantly made a fan of Rollins, as showed off his skills on the mic.
While I’m not interested in giving a play-by-play of each match from the event, I do want to share some of the fun videos and pictures I got. Enjoy:
Bray Wyatt’s entrance is incredibly cool already, but being in the room takes it to another level.
I’m pretty sure 100% of the audience was screaming “YES!” at the same time. It’s a hell of a feeling. Everyone loves Daniel Bryan.
